Beginning in 1991 Folknet has been serving the northeast Ohio folk and dance community to provide area musicians opportunities to connect through concerts, festivals, workshops, open mics, community sings and more. Today Folknet presents two different concert series, the Folknet Concert Series in the eastern Cleveland suburb of Beachwood and The Mountain Rose Concert Series in Kent Ohio. Folknet is an annual sponsor of Music in the Valley at Hale Farm and Village. During the holiday season of 2022 Folknet began an outreach program, providing lunchtime concerts to The Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging facilities throughout Northeast Ohio. The Folknet Concert Series is presented with the support of a Cuyahoga Arts and Culture Grant. Folknet is a volunteer driven organization and supported through membership dues and donations. We are also supported in part through major gifts from the Thomas & Christine Ball estate and the Tim Wallace estate.
